Tagine

Made from British steel, this Tagine from Firepits UK is based on a traditional Moroccan vessel with its conical shape lid which allows steam to circulate during cooking.

Following North African tradition this Tagine is used to create sumptuous stews full of flavour, slow cooked over a low heat. Its conical shape makes a hot, humid environment for the simmering stew to cook in. As the food cooks steam rises into the cone, condenses and then trickles down the sides back into the food. It’s this slow cooking without drying out the food that develops the exquisite flavours. Both the vessel and the food cooked in it take the name Tagine.
