Designed by Petteri Wiimaa, this outdoor wood-burning fireplace is crafted from Corten steel, an alloy primarily consisting of carbon, treated to form a protective layer ensuring its resilience against weathering. Initially donning a greyish hue, exposure to weather transforms it into a reddish-brown shade resembling rust, further deepening in colour over time.

When appropriately utilised, Corten steel showcases expressiveness, durability, and demands minimal maintenance, ageing gracefully and uniquely over time. GrillSymbol exclusively sources Corten steel mined and produced in Finland, ensuring both quality and enduring longevity.

The product must not be installed on a wooden surface as the fire pit will become hot from the bottom during the fire. There are holes in the bottom of the fire pit from which small pieces of coal can fall out. The holes in the bottom act as drainage holes to prevent standing water from accumulating inside the fire pit.

Corten steel products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.
