Description

Our Roasting Oven/Smoker Box offers incredible versatility, allowing you to roast meat joints, vegetables, potatoes, or infuse smoking pellets into cheeses or fish. Simply position it atop your Swing Arm or BBQ Rack and cook over a gentle heat. There are numerous fantastic recipes available for smoking dishes, so feel free to experiment and savour the experience!

To use it as a Roasting Oven, spread some oil on the grill plate and roasting tray. Set it on the BBQ Rack over hot embers (not flames) and let it warm for about five minutes. Once ready, add your food and place the cloche top over it. For roasted meat, you can transfer it from the Roasting Oven directly onto the BBQ Rack to finalise, acquiring that delightful fire pit flavour.

As a Smoker Box, operate it over a low heat of hot embers, avoiding flames. Fill the bottom plate with smoker chips or smoking powder according to the provided instructions—following the specified quantities. Place the grill plate atop the smoker chips, position the food to be smoked on the grill, and cover the contents with the cloche top. Put the Smoker Box on the BBQ Rack over the hot embers, adhering to the indicated smoking duration on the pellet instructions. If you intend to continue smoking beyond the initial time or when the powder burns out, add more chips and continue the process.

Maintaining your fire pit

NB: All our fire pits, lids and accessories will begin to rust immediately and will not maintain their black finish. However, this will not affect their long term durability. As all our fire pits are handmade from sheet steel which has naturally occurring blemishes, there may be very slight variations in the forging and finish.
