Designed by Petteri Wiimaa, this fireplace is crafted from Corten steel, a type of carbon steel engineered to develop a protective layer on its surface, ensuring resilience against weathering. Initially greyish, exposure to weather conditions causes it to adopt a reddish-brown hue, akin to the appearance of rust, which further matures into a darker shade over time.
When utilised appropriately, Corten steel exemplifies expressiveness, durability, and requires minimal maintenance, ageing uniquely and gracefully. GrillSymbol exclusively employs Corten steel sourced and manufactured in Finland, ensuring quality and longevity.

The product must not be installed on a wooden surface as the fire pit will become hot from the bottom during the fire. There are holes in the bottom of the fire pit from which small pieces of coal can fall out. The holes in the bottom act as drainage holes to prevent standing water from accumulating inside the fire pit.
Corten steel products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.
